RFQ Checklist for Hydraulic Reciprocating Pultrusion Machines
An RFQ for a hydraulic reciprocating pultrusion machine should connect the desired profiles with the complete production scope. Asking only for a pulling-force rating leaves suppliers to make different assumptions about the project.

Provide the technical baseline
Attach representative drawings, material intentions and critical product requirements. Describe the intended range of profiles and any changeover needs. Identify existing equipment that the new machine must connect to. Ask suppliers to explain their proposed clamping arrangement, controls and tooling interfaces, and to declare assumptions that still require validation.
Request a structured offer
Separate the main equipment, tooling, accessories, utilities, documentation, training and spare parts. Ask for footprint and service-clearance information and identify buyer responsibilities. Define the proposed acceptance trial and require performance commitments to state their material and operating conditions. Include commercial terms, exclusions and quotation validity so that scope differences remain visible.
A practical decision example
If an RFQ asks for a hydraulic machine but leaves cutting and handling unspecified, suppliers may make different scope assumptions. List each required stage and ask for exclusions explicitly. The resulting prices can then be compared against the same production boundary.
Key checks
- Issue identical drawings to each bidder
- Require itemized scope and exclusions
- Agree how product capability will be demonstrated
Next step
A structured RFQ produces more comparable answers and a clearer purchase-order basis. It also helps the buyer distinguish a machine-only offer from a proposal for an integrated production solution.
